Internal Business Development Manager - Bridging Finance (Office-based)

Location: London

Our client is a multi-award-winning, short-term property lender that is now looking for an experienced office-based Business Development Manager (BDM) due to business growth and expansion. This unique opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated and driven individual who may have some frustrations within their current firm and would like the ability to work with genuine people, competitive products, and earn more money. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the field-based business development team and assist in delivering excellent service across the department, and to our brokers and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on indicative terms and Agreements in Principle (AIPs) with brokers and customers.
  • Respond to enquiries via telephone and online channels, providing accurate information.
  • Prepare and submit AIP submissions for credit approval.
  • Package new applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete.
  • Support external sales representatives with enquiries and ad hoc tasks.
  • Coordinate valuations and solicitor quotes with the Credit Analyst team.
  • Identify and engage new brokers through outbound calls.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on internal systems.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate:

  • A Bridging/ Development/ Specialist finance background is essential. Whether working for a lender or a mortgage packager.
  • We would like someone that has a positive outlook and is willing to get stuck in and make things happen!
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience. (We cannot consider jumpy CV’s. We would like to see some stability within your career.)
  • We would consider someone that has worked for a mortgage packager or network.
  • Ability to communicate on different levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Confident presenting in front of small and large audiences.
  • Excellent presentation (verbal/written) and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, build trust and influence.
  • Demonstrable professional integrity and a strong work ethic.

Package:

  • Salary up to £50k.
