International Tax Manager - London

Pentagon Talent are seeking an International Tax Manager to join the Global Partnership and Tax Team at a leading global law firm, who have stunning and conveniently located offices in London.

About the International Tax Manager Role

This role focuses exclusively on international tax matters, managing tax compliance, advisory, and reporting responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions. Collaborating closely with local CFOs, external advisors, and internal teams, you will navigate complex tax landscapes, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities for the International Tax Manager:

  • Oversee global tax compliance, managing tax filings and year-end processes for the firm and its partners.
  • Address withholding tax exposures, tax equalisation calculations, and reconciliation of non-UK tax reserves.
  • Advise on international mobility tax issues and assist with ad hoc advisory projects.
  • Lead Double Taxation Relief calculations for UK resident members and other cross-border tax matters.
  • Supervise and develop junior team members, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all deliverables.
  • Continuously review and improve tax processes, aligning them with legislative changes and business needs.

About the successful International Tax Manager

Our London based International Law firm are open to candidates from diverse industry backgrounds who meet the following requirements:

  • Qualification: Relevant accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CTA preferred).
  • Experience: At least 2-3+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within corporate tax or partnership tax in a large international organisation.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in international tax, with experience in managing cross-border compliance, withholding tax, and related matters.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex data (advanced Excel skills essential).
  • Collaborative: Proven ability to work effectively with global teams and communicate complex tax issues to non-specialists.
