A growing reinsurance business is looking to hire an Investment Accounting Manager, the main purpose of the role is managing the investment accounting and reporting function of the companys investments, including ensuring investment accounting records are accurately maintained in line with statutory and regulatory requirements support to business unit finance teams.
Day to day duties include:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the investment accounting team
- Preparation and on-time delivery of all investment reporting, including internal management reporting, Board and Investment Committee reports
- Ownership of the relationship with custodian banks and investment accounting provider through regular meetings and reviews
- Responsibility for compliance monitoring of the investment fund, including ensuring compliance rules are correctly coded within the third-party system.
- Management of investment portfolio administration, including reviewing asset allocations, managing trade instructions, cash inflows and outflows from the investment fund
- Ensuring investment accounting records are maintained in line with International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS")
The ideal candidate will have either be from an accounting practice working on insurance clients or have extensive investment accounting experience within the insurance industry, a accounting qualification is also required (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with prior management experience being strongly desired.
