Investment Director - SVP - Data Centres - OUR CLIENT are a Global Asset and Investment Management force with an established and impressive, diverse real estate portfolio. They continue to grow and explore multiple asset classes whilst staying committed to sustainability and focusing on adding value to their stakeholders through utilising their efficient business model and strategies. As part of this growth, they are seeking a Director/SVP-level real estate investment professional with extensive experience in the real estate sector, specifically focusing on Data Centres nationally and based in London. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of both greenfield and brownfield real estate acquisitions, and a strong understanding of all related processes and legislation involved in end-to-end real estate investment and acquisition.

THE ROLE responsibilities for the Investment Director / SVP - Data Centres will include:

  • Developing business strategies, as well as estimating business opportunities locally and overseas.
  • Building relationships and supporting the origination of new investments and business opportunities to successfully grow the real estate portfolio.
  • Establishing market entry/exit strategies to ensure higher returns upon disposition and complete deep-dive analytic reviews to seek new opportunities that could increase profitability and flow through.
  • Developing and implementing a sound business plan for sourcing acquisition or investment opportunities, including specific strategies designed to achieve short and long-term growth and profit objectives.
  • Leading the investment transactions from end-to-end, including origination, research, deal evaluation and structuring, financial analysis (including financial modelling) and deal execution.

THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the Investment Director / SVP - Data Centres role:

  • No less than 15 years’ relevant working experience in Europe and/or UK real estate investments and asset acquisitions.
  • Driving the sourcing of potential data centre sites to be invested and if the deal materialized, to see through the deal.
  • Have connections with government agencies, commercial engagement with power companies and securing power energy gaining favourable rates.
  • Significant experience in originating, evaluating, underwriting and executing deals.
  • A keen analytical mind and proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Excellent leadership skills, strong initiative, good business and financial acumen, and great independence in working in a fast-paced environment.
