Assistant Manager of Operations - What You'll be Doing:

  • Prepare daily cash movement reports.
  • Manage payments preparation, fund transfers and issue trade confirmation;
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the settlement amounts, as well as reconcile cash breaks.
  • Maintain counterparties’ information and SSI against in-house systems.
  • Actively participate in projects for new systems and new products launches.
  • Support the implementation of new products and system modifications by liaising with the Head Office and other stakeholders. ;
  • Collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Assist department members in handling any operational issues.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager and the Head of Operations.
  • Maintain effective communication with leadership, providing updates on issues, concerns and successes.
  • Provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.

Assistant Manager of Operations - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience within a banking role.
  • Understanding of payments schemes (CHAPS and SWIFT).
  • Solid understanding of the UK payment system including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations and CHAPS processes.
  • Experienced in handling SWIFT operations.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Mandarin.
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure and meet specific deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
  • Team player with diligent work ethic and strong communications abilities.
