Non-Financial Risk Director6 Month ContractLocation: London (Hybrid)

Lorien's UK leading Pensions and Insurance firm are currently looking for a highly skilled Non-Financial Risk Director to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.

Skills:

  • Experience in working at a senior level within a financial services organisation.
  • Ability to understand/interpret the regulatory requirements to new or ongoing business situations. This involves knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulations, and navigation of the same.
  • Ability to motivate, direct and develop staff at different levels, to work individually as well as in a team environment.
  • Sound judgement and ability to know when to escalate and when to seek internal or external assistance.
  • Strong management, leadership, team-building skills and the ability to communicate compliance issues in a non-technical way to the senior teams and other employees.
  • Effective communication and report writing skills.

Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of the UK financial services and regulatory framework including Data Protection and Anti-Financial Crime legislation and regulation.
  • Significant knowledge of business systems including outsourced arrangements for financial services organisations.

Experience:

  • Credibility and experience at Board/ Management level.
  • Experience in the management of Information Security risks, including experience in Digital developments and associated risks
  • Experience in technology control models eg COBIT (Control Objectives for information and related technologies) or similar.
  • BSc/Degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Economics or Business Administration or any related discipline

Desirable

  • Experience of working in COO or similar role
