We are looking for a detail-oriented operations and logistics expert with some accounting experience on behalf of our client, who operates two purpose-driven brands which are creating social and environmental impact. This unique role combines operations management and financial support across both businesses, which will include invoicing, accounts reconcilliation, and bookkeeping using Xero.
You'll work alongside a senior accountant/accountancy practice, ensuring smealess financial operations while managing logistics, supplier relationships, and customer service. If you're looking for a role that combines variety, purpose, and remote flexibility, this is the role for you.
This role is expected to be approximately 70% operations 30% accounting.
Duties
Supplier and Inventory Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Forecast demand, place orders, and manage stock levels to meet customer needs.
- Coordinate timely deliveries and resolve logistical issues.
- Prepare monthly stock reports, including inventory levels and value.
B2B Customer Service
- Act as the primary point of contact for B2B customer enquiries.
- Process and place orders for B2B clients across different platforms.
- Manage orders, delivery notes, and required documentation.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with B2B clients.
D2C Customer Service
- Liaise with the external customer service partner to resolve escalated issues.
- Update FAQs and automated responses on Gorgias to enhance customer experience.
Administration, Bookkeeping, and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in Xero and Shopify.
- Work with third-party accountants to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage invoices, track payments, and resolve invoice queries.
- Provide timely updates and reports to internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in operations, supply chain management, or a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Xero, Shopify, and Gorgias is highly desirable.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
