Operations Lead£30,000 - £35,000 DOE Company: Venture Capital firmBased in: West End, LondonAre you interested in joining a growing investment firm in the heart of Mayfair?Our client is looking for an ambitious Operations Lead to support and enhance the firm's operational efficiency, investor communications, and investment processes.The firm is a well-established Venture Capital firm based in the West End with over 10 years of experience investing in technology and software companies. The team is close-knit, supportive, and this role is part of the company's strategic expansion. You'll be joining at an exciting time as they grow within this space. The role requires someone who has some administrative experience ideally within Financial or Professional services or within PE/VC firms with high attention to detail.As the Operations Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the Investment team by streamlining processes, managing investor communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of the firm's systems.Key responsibilities will involve:
- Investor Communications & Operations
- Optimising operational procedures to enhance efficiency
- Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction through excellent service
- Supporting the sales team in addressing investor queries
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless investor engagement
- Investor Portal Management
- Maintaining and updating the investor portal with timely information
- Onboarding new investors, investments, and valuation data
- Preparing and publishing portfolio updates and valuation reports
- Liaising with third-party software providers to ensure a smooth user experience
- Analysis & Market Monitoring
- Tracking financial press and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
- Staying informed on Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) regulations
- Driving process improvements and policy development
- Preparing submissions for industry awards
- Conducting ad hoc data updates, queries, and analysis
- Administrative Duties
- Preparing and submitting S/EIS1 applications to HMRC
- Distributing S/EIS3 certificates to investors
- Managing and updating records to ensure accuracy
- Assisting team members with operational tasks
- Coordinating with internal departments to maintain compliance
What you'll need.
- Experience in administration, analysis, and client services
- Process-driven mindset, with a keen eye for detail and methodical approach
- Strong interpersonal skills, ideally with experience in investor relations or fund administration
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Experience in VC, financial services, or investment administration is preferred
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Client-facing experience is beneficial, with the ability to manage data-driven and process-driven tasks
- Comfortable working in a small, growing team and contributing across multiple areas
