- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients and overseeing the accounts preparation service delivery to those allocated.
- Planning, controlling, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Reporting directly to partners, directors, and senior managers as necessary.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality statutory accounts prepared in accordance with relevant standards, including all necessary disclosures.
- Preparing and/or reviewing consolidation workings to support group accounts prepared by the team.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is essential.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable, or equivalent qualification by experience.
- Substantial experience in an accountancy firm, with a preference for those who have worked in business services or outsourcing roles.
- In-depth technical knowledge of UK and International accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated business acumen with a capacity to engage in business development activities.
- Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Xero, Caseware, and Excel.
