Part-time CFO | B2B SaaS Scale-Up | Remote/London

Harmonic is delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly scaling SaaS scale-up in their search for a Part-Time CFO (3 days per week).

The Client

Our client is quickly becoming a renowned name within their SaaS subsector (B2B Enterprise SaaS). After a period of sustained organic growth and having successfully reached profitability - our client is now looking to bring on a part-time CFO for 3 days a week, with the potential for uplifting to full-time in the future.

The culture is dynamic and entrepreneurial - encompassed by their flat structure. Whilst there is an office in Central London if you'd like to attend the office, our client is happy for the CFO to be working on a majority remote basis but be able to easily access London for meetings.

The Role

As CFO, reporting into the Founders, you will be responsible for leading the finance function, overseeing and contributing to the Financial and Commercial strategy. In terms of the role, you'll be overseeing the FP&A capabilities by owning the budgets & forecasts as well as long-term strategic planning.

Having successfully scaled into international markets, notably in the USA, our client is keen for the CFO to have had experience with US entities/customers. It's also crucial the CFO is strong on modelling and ideally has had exposure to either fundraising or exits (Private Equity or

Responsibilities

  • Setting the financial and commercial strategy and identify strategic growth opportunities.
  • Acting as a true partner to the Directors, working closely on strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Relevant financial modelling, scenario modelling and data room analysis/management.
  • Manage the FP&A capabilities, including setting the annual budget, long-term planning.
  • Ensure smooth-running of the finance function (outsourced).
  • Overseeing cash flow forecasting, profitability analysis and budgeting.
  • Effectively manage the international jurisdictions and liaise with local advisors.
  • Support with potential fundraising activities and investor relations.
  • Driving innovative efficiencies and process improvement.
  • Ensuring robust controls are in place.
  • Ad-hoc projects.

Essential Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Start-up/Scale-up experience
  • Fundraising or PE/VC experience
  • SaaS experience and a strong understanding of enterprise sales revenue model
  • Worked with US subsidiaries/ expansion into the US
  • Strong interpersonal skills
