Part Time Finance Manager | AdTech Scale Up | London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growth, Media Agency supporting them with their search for a Finance Manager. Turning over around £5-6mill with around a 50-person headcount, the agency works across a variety of sectors including technology, food & beverage, and beauty.

They are market leaders in terms of the investment in personal wellbeing for their employers, reflected by the work that they produce, their culture, and how they look after their team.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will join the agency on a 3/4-day p/week basis where you will support with all aspects of the financial management of the business. The role is exceptionally broad and combines Commercial Finance, Business Partnering and Planning & Analysis. You will be partnering with Account Management, Production and Media teams to provide commercial finance advice and support to help them to mee their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Financial analysis & reporting
  • Management of the company accounts and finances
  • Financial transaction management (revenue and margin) of revenue streams within the business
  • Business partner with the wider teams to ensure the numbers reported are a true representation
  • Month end journals, accrued/deferred revenue, accruals, and prepayments
  • Revenue recognition (accounting treatment of revenue and impact of deliverables)
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Financial Control environment
  • Monthly management account information
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for balance sheet codes
  • Managing & mentoring the Finance Assistant

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • PQ or Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA (will consider QBE)
  • Creative Agency / Media / Tech experience preferred, but will consider Professional Services
  • MS Excel proficient
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-rounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Experience with Xero

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £55-65K pro rata
