Part-Time Finance Manager (30 hours per week, flexible hours) | Permanent role | Central London (hybrid working) | £50,000 plus benefits | Charitable Foundation

JasperRose is partnering with a charitable foundation who are looking for a Finance Manager to join the business on a part-time basis, 30 hours per week (flexible on days worked). This is a newly created role, reporting to the Finance Director, and is the opportunity to work for a foundation focused on tackling poverty and environmental issues globally.

This is an autonomous role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of finance. You will be responsible for producing quarterly management accounts for the board, owning the VAT returns, cashflow and managing the accounts up to trial balance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of the quarterly management accounts
  • Preparing the quarterly VAT returns
  • Liaising with external accountants at year-end and supporting with the statutory accounts
  • Owning the cash management and cash flow forecasting
  • Partnering with various stakeholders across the business including the board regarding any finance-related matters
  • Managing the service-charge accounting and rent invoices
  • Preparing and approving payment runs
  • Being a key point of contact for the charities from a finance perspective

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be a qualified or qualified by experience accountant with experience either working in a small business or sole charge finance role. You will be comfortable producing management accounts, VAT returns, and managing cashflow. Previous experience working for a charity is preferred but not essential, as is knowledge of QuickBooks. You must be comfortable working in an autonomous role yet in a collaborative and sociable environment. You will have the ability to work with confidential information, be confident in liaising with stakeholders at all levels, and have the desire to take on additional duties as the role organically grows.
