NLB Solutions are working with an accountancy practice that are recruiting a Personal Tax Manager. The current team work full time in the office and are looking for someone that has a CTA qualification and at least 3 years within a tax role. You will be part of a well-established team and supporting partners.

They are looking for someone that has a minimum of 3 years’ experience with Personal Tax preparation and advisory, ideally CTA qualification and a thorough understanding of UK tax regulations and in return they will offer a competitive salary.

Duties:

  • Prepare and file personal income tax returns for a diverse client base.
  • Review financial records such as income statements, expense documents, and previous tax returns to determine the correct tax filing.
  • Advise clients on tax planning and tax-saving strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify complex tax issues.
  • Represent clients in dealings with tax authorities, including audits and inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise tax positions and mitigate tax liabilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data and client information.
  • Assist clients with tax-related questions and concerns throughout the year, not just during tax season.

Person Spec:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal tax preparation and advisory services.
  • Thorough understanding of UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
