Political Finance Online (PFO) Project Lead – The Role:

We are looking for a Political Finance Online (PFO) Project Lead to lead the Political Finance Online project, overseeing its delivery from discovery to implementation and replacing the current system for recording and publishing political donations.

The ideal candidate will manage this high-profile, high-risk project, requiring technical expertise and stakeholder management skills. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape the strategic direction of the Commission and collaborate closely with the Director of Electoral Administration and Regulation, providing regular updates to the Executive Team and Commission Board.

Political Finance Online (PFO) Project Lead – Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the Head of Digital Delivery and Technology to ensure a smooth transition of our existing system to the cloud as a short-term measureScope and lead a discovery phase for the new system

- Make recommendations on the procurement of a new system and lead the procurement

- Ensure the new System is delivered on time, to quality and within budget

- Define and deliver training requirements

- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the system meets expectations and is futureproof

- Ensure that a team with the appropriate skills is in place, both directly under their line management and on a matrix management basis, and manage the team to deliver

Political Finance Online (PFO) Project Lead – You:

- Recognised project management qualification (practitioner level preferred)

- Strong track record of delivering ICT projects at senior level, with at least some experience in the public sector Experience of procurement and contract management

- Experience with software development methodologies, including cloud platforms, databases, and network infrastructure

- Ability to inspire and motivate team members by setting clear expectations, recognising achievements, and providing constructive feedback

- Effective communicator with the ability to engage with all levels of the organisation

- Decision-maker with the capability to make impactful recommendations

- Strong relationship-building skills with all stakeholders
