The Role

As a Senior Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and UK/non-UK resident clients. You will be a key point of contact, providing expert advice on tax planning, compliance, and advisory projects.

You will also play a vital role in business development, process improvement, and staff training, ensuring the team delivers high-quality services efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, overseeing tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Lead technical advisory work, including inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax matters, and trust and estate planning.
  • Develop strong client relationships, delivering complex tax advice clearly and concisely.
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff, providing technical training and professional development.
  • Support business development, including client pitches, proposals, and cross-referrals.
  • Monitor team progress, WIP, and billing, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
What We're Looking For
  • CTA-qualified (or equivalent) with strong private client tax experience.
  • Expertise in personal tax, trusts, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax planning.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax matters to clients and colleagues confidently.
  • Experience managing a team, reviewing work, and providing leadership.
  • A commercial mindset, with a track record of business development.
