Description
- Managing a diverse client portfolio and ensuring all tax matters are handled effectively.
- Supervising and mentoring a team of tax assistants and junior managers.
- Keeping abreast with current tax legislation and advising clients accordingly.
- Preparing and reviewing tax returns and computations.
- Liaising with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
- Assisting with tax planning and advising clients on effective tax strategies.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless service delivery.
- Participating in business development initiatives within the tax department.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Assistant Manager / Manager should have:
- A degree in a finance-related field.
- Professional qualification in tax such as ATT, CTA, or equivalent.
- A comprehensive understanding of UK tax legislation and HMRC procedures.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- A track record in managing and mentoring a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
