Our client is a highly respected Top 100 accountancy firm, renowned for providing high-quality tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trusts. They are looking to expand their dedicated private tax team with the addition of an experienced Private Tax Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, and estates.
  • Provide comprehensive tax advice on personal income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and other personal tax matters.
  • Support clients with tax planning strategies, compliance, and structuring, including offshore matters.
  • Review and manage the preparation of tax returns for individuals, trusts, and estates.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, providing guidance on technical matters and supporting their development.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored advice and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant tax legislation and developments, ensuring compliance and optimising tax efficiencies for clients.
  • Assist with tax planning for international clients including residence, domicile, and cross-border tax issues.
  • Work closely with the wider firm's specialists in areas such as corporate tax, VAT, and wealth planning to deliver holistic services to clients.
Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience within private client tax and working with high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trusts.
  • Experience managing a portfolio and providing both compliance and advisory services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Experience managing and developing junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle complex and varied tax matters with attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach.
