Part Time Finance Manager (3 days) | Indie Creative Agency | London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growth, independent SME brand agency supporting them with their search for a Finance Manager to join their team in London. Turning over around £3mill with around a 20-person headcount, the agency has a strong focus on creating the best-in-class social campaigns for global brands that spread across a variety of sectors.

They are market leaders in terms of the investment in personal wellbeing for their employers, reflected by the work that they produce, their culture, and how they look after their team. They have a fantastic office space in London and have been recognised for countless awards since they were formed over 10 years ago.

The Role:

Collaborating with the Managing Director & client services teams, you will join the agency on a 3-day p/week basis where you will act as the sole charge Finance Manager. The role is exceptionally broad and combines transactional, business partnering and management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the company accounts and finances
  • Financial transaction management (revenue and margin) of revenue streams within the business
  • Business partner with the wider teams to ensure the numbers reported are a true representation
  • Month end journals, accrued/deferred revenue, accruals, and prepayments
  • Revenue recognition (accounting treatment of revenue and impact of deliverables)
  • Identify and implement improvements to the controls environment
  • Monthly management account information
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for balance sheet codes
  • Oversee all AP & AR
  • Liaise with external accounts on stats

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • Experience in a creative business
  • MS Excel proficient
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-rounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Xero accounting software experience

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Pro rata

Location: London / Hybrid (2 days in office 1 WFH)
