As an Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions related to the housing services. You will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations within a social housing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, supplier payments, and expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain detailed records of all financial dealings.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of financial information.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable to ensure timely payment and avoid discrepancies or delays.
- Handle inquiries from suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding payment status or invoice issues.
- Support audits and other financial operations as required, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy in all accounts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an accounts payable or finance role, ideally within a social housing or property management setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial procedures, invoicing, and payment processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
