With global revenues of c£3bn, impressive profits and a track record of double digit YoY growth, this highly impressive organisation consistently delivers a first class service to its customers whilst generating a healthy return to its investors.

The Finance Director position for a part of the European region has been newly created to provide an improved financial lens across the region and succession planning for the European FD.

The role includes:

  • Overseeing and driving all aspects of financial performance across 6 territories within the European region with combined revenues of c£350m.
  • Influencing local FDs and finance teams, driving improvements across insight and reporting and rolling out consistent best practice across the region.
  • Partnering local MDs and operational heads, playing a key role in advising on improved business performance and understanding.
  • Encouraging innovation, sharing best practice, bringing the local leadership teams together under united and common methodologies.
  • Providing performance management consultancy and guidance to GMs, shaping financial roadmaps, using data as a key tool in driving insight.
  • Key involvement in investment plans and M&A activity across the region.
  • Setting and driving the approach to long term planning and forecasting and managing the review and challenge of budgets for the region.
  • Preparing the regional performance reporting for Group.
  • Lead the financial review at country and operational review meetings with Regional MD.
  • Manage a small team.

Candidate profile:

  • An ambitious and experienced finance professional with an impressive track record of delivery across a medium to large sized international business.
  • A demonstrable background of driving improvements across various areas of finance, using systems to automate and deliver insightful data.
  • A combination of knowledge in commercial finance, FP&A and financial reporting.
  • A significant amount of emotional intelligence and proven influencing skills. This is a people led environment where relationship building is critical to your success in role.
  • Commercially minded and genuinely interested in how a business operates.
  • An additional European language would be an advantage.
  • For the right candidate this role could also be based in a major European city if that were preferred.
