Revenues Manager Available

Rate: Negotiable

Hours: Full time

Venn Group are currently working with a Local Authority in the South East of England who are seeking a Revenues Manager to start at short notice on a 6-month contract. The Local Authority want some occasional onsite attendance, but the frequency can be negotiated.

Main duties of the job:

  • Undertaking the day-to-day management of the Shared Revenues Partnership Council Tax and Business Rates function
  • Preparing statistical returns, management information and responding to complaints or complex enquiries from customers, Councillor and third sector organisations
  • Representing the Council at court and tribunals
  • Reporting to the Head of Revenues and Benefits
  • Monitoring Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates and Housing Benefit Overpayment billing, collection and recovery to ensure that resources are directed to the areas of greatest need and collection is maximised
  • Undertaking development and implementation of new processes/procedures resulting from change in legislation and policy

The successful candidate must have experience of working within a Councils Revenues and Benefits department
