Your new companyThis accounting firm has a global presence with offices in London to Dubai. Their over 100 years of experience has put them at the forefront of accounting practices. They sit in the top 15 accounting firms with over 900 members of staff. They specialise in advising a broad range of clients across a wide range of clients across a large amount of different including a plethora of high net worth individuals. The firm has nearly doubled in size over the past 3 years meaning they need to increase head count in the Risk and Compliance Team. This is coupled with current members of the team reaching retirement age, therefore providing you with the ability to rapidly move up within the organisation, this is a unique opportunity for a firm of this size and calibreThey pride themselves on having excellent work life balance providing their junior staff members with paid overtime and senior staff members with generous bonuses. Your new roleYour new position will sit within the Risk and Compliance department and will give you the chance to report into the Director of the Risk and Compliance Team. Your primary responsibility will involve making sure the Firm is compliant with both external regulatory bodies and the internal policies and procedures.You will get the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders within the firm such as assisting the director with notifications to the ICAEW and the preparation of ICAEW annual returns. You will also be tasked with advising fee-earners on risk, compliance and ethics related topics, giving you the chance to contribute to the external facing aspects of the firm. What you'll need to succeed

  • A strong understanding of Risk and Compliance requirements.
  • ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification.
  • Accounting firm experience.
  • Experience and understanding of the ICAEW.
  • Experience with accounting frameworks such as UK and IFRS
