IN2 Consult is partnering with a global FinTech Client on the recruitment of a Manager level Finance Risk and Control Specialist to join their team. 

This role is a unique opportunity to leverage your audit expertise within a fast-paced fintech environment. As a Finance Risk and Control Manager, you’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance to evaluate financial reporting controls and risk frameworks. This role is tailored for someone with deep experience in financial services or fintech, who is comfortable navigating the complexities of high-volume transactions and evolving regulatory demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Flow and Risk Documentation: Map and document end-to-end customer flow processes, with a focus on risks, controls, and impacts to group financial statements. Your work will involve "upstream" activities integral to our services, including the robust payment processing infrastructure that underpins our fintech offerings.

  • Control Testing and Gap Analysis: Conduct scheduled, independent testing to assess control effectiveness across financial operations. Identify and address control gaps, working closely with the Finance Risk and Controls Director to refine findings and develop improvement plans.

  • Strategic Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to support and evolve our risk and control frameworks. In a dynamic fintech landscape, your guidance will help to maintain compliance and support our company’s growth trajectory.

  • Cross-Departmental Partnerships: Work with teams across finance and non-finance areas to address financial reporting risks, ensuring effective controls are in place to meet regulatory standards. Building cross-functional relationships will be essential for aligning on risk management goals.

  • Advancing Control Automation: Support the design and implementation of automated controls, working with finance and engineering to ensure operational efficiency. Your input will drive automation efforts that streamline our high-volume fintech environment.

  • Audit Tracking and Monitoring: Track findings from internal and external audits, ensuring timely action and robust solutions to mitigate identified risks.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Professional Certification: ACA or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience, particularly in financial services or fintech audit environments.

  • Audit and Financial Services Background: Proven experience leading audit fieldwork in financial services or fintech, managing complex client engagements, and addressing sector-specific regulatory challenges.

  • Hands-On, Problem-Solving Approach: A proactive, hands-on attitude towards addressing issues and implementing solutions, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Balanced Risk Management: Skilled in assessing risk in a way that supports business growth while adhering to regulatory standards in the fintech sector.

  • Collaborative and Impact-Driven: Experience working effectively in a multinational, cross-functional team environment, influencing and driving positive outcomes through collaboration.

  • Fintech Enthusiasm: A strong interest in fintech innovation and high-growth financial services, with a desire to learn more about operationalizing controls in these dynamic environments.
