My client is an International Bank. They are looking to hire a DEputy Manager for their Rish Department.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Specific: (Including Prescribed responsibilities)

Performing the role of Compliance Officer: Assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in performing Compliance duties

General:

Adhering to FCA’s Conduct Rules (both Individual and Senior Manager’s Conduct Rules)

Adhering to FCA's Principles of Business & PRA’s Fundamental Rules.

Adhering to all systems, controls & Regulatory guidelines.

Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures of the Bank.

Description of Duties

  • Policies and Risk management structures of the Bank: including assisting CRO in review / updating of policies & process, Effective implementation of Risk Management Framework/ Risk Dashboard & monitoring of Prudential Requirement & Risk Appetite of the Bank.
  • Assisting in preparation/review of ICAAP/ILAAP/ Recovery Plan in Conjunction with Finance/Treasury Department & CRO, Credit department etc.
  • Over time, will be invited to the Credit Committee or ALCO or Executive Management Committee, ICAAP, ILAAP, IFRS 9 meetings or other Management committees to assist the CRO in assessing and managing Risk with respect to those areas such as Credit risk, Liquidity risk, Market risk, Climate Risk, Stress testing, Annual accounts, Regulatory data etc.
  • Assisting CRO in Preparing reports and MIs for the RCC and also other committees as and when required, and monitoring the exposures across Credit, Treasury, Operations, Climate etc.
  • Preparing Risk MI as enumerated in the risk Appetite statement for each oversight Committee.
  • Assist CRO in proactively Monitoring and Mitigating Liquidity, Market risk on a continual basis including Dealers pad, Investment Proposals and portfolio analysis, Risk Culture & Climate Risk awareness.
  • Act in a timely manner to ensure effective risk management, and where necessary mitigation, of material risk exposures, those that are close to or exceed the approved risk appetite and/or risk limits.
  • Provide project management support and risk expertise to the business with specific related projects.
  • The jobholder will also be required to carry out other job functions as determined by the Company.
  • Work with and provide information required by internal & external auditors and regulators.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate with at least three years’ experience.
  • Previous work experience with a Bank/ Financial Institution
  • Self-motivated team player, also able to work independently and proactively.
  • At least three years' experience of working in a Bank/ Financial Institution
  • Strong understanding of Liquidity risk, Market Risk, ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan models, Regulatory data - COREP, FINREP etc. At least 4 of these areas are needed.
  • Excellent Data, MI, IT & Organisational Skills.
