Royalties Manager | Independent Record Label | London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with one of the most well renowned Record Label Groups, known for their ground-breaking work in the Independent music sector, searching for a Royalties Manager in an exciting new period for the business.

The Business:

The business has a turnover of around £50 million and have multiple global offices, with over 120 people based in the UK. Our client have remained financially strong and through innovative new business strategies it has continued to scale. They have a fantastically dynamic and sociable work environment, where you'll be surrounded by people who are incredibly passionate about music. Due to an increased international presence after the acquisition of multiple labels in Europe, there is a fantastic opportunity to play a fantastic role in facilitating the growth of the business.

The Role:

Reporting into the Director of Royalties, this is a newly created position in line with the business's growth. While scaling, the organisation is proud to have retained their values led culture, and is the perfect opportunity for candidates that are similarly motivated and love hands on roles in the music industry. In terms of the day-to-day, you will be responsible for streamlining the royalties systems and integrating with the various global arms of the business. There will be plenty of opportunities to lead on exciting projects to drive efficiencies through the business as well as provide key pieces of analysis. There will also be a lot of support given to the Royalties Director, gaining exposure to more senior duties aiding with learning and development, in line with their culture of internal growth opportunities.

Duties:

  • Generating royalties statements
  • Maintenance and setup of new release and tracks
  • Handling royalty error reports, reconciliations and correcting adjustments
  • Setup of contracts into royalties system
  • Managing statement accounts
  • Provide analysis of sales date / trends for general management information Mapping out data of recent label acquisitions
  • Identifying errors or gaps and rectifying as appropriate
  • Analysis of original royalties statements and contracts
  • Regular liaising with senior stakeholders

What we need to see (Essential):

  • Royalties experience in the music, publishing or tv & film space
  • Ambitious, career driven, growth mindset

What we need to see (Bonus):

  • Record Maestro experience

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 + great benefits package

Location: Central London (3 days in office)
