Group Royalties ManagerAn established and renowned Record Label and Music Publishing company is seeking a Group Royalties Manager to serve as the key support to the Head of Royalties and assist in managing a team.The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in royalties management and ideally be fluent in French, supporting the company’s expanding operations in the French market.This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the royalties team, ensuring the smooth processing and distribution of label and artist statements across the Group. Your work will play a critical role in meeting royalty deadlines and providing vital royalty information for performance analysis.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of six (three direct reports) to ensure accurate client data and repertoire royalty conditions are set up and maintained within the Group’s royalty system.
  • Oversee the collection and processing of all income streams, including physical sales, digital revenue, neighbouring rights, and third-party licensing.
  • Supervise the preparation and distribution of monthly and biannual label and artist royalty statements.
  • Ensure accurate application of recoupable costs to statements, working with finance teams across territories.
  • Analyse income and reporting streams, identifying opportunities to optimize and refine royalty processes.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects, including efficiency improvements and income stream allocation analysis.
  • Support the Head of Royalties with royalty tasks and audits.
  • Build and maintain efficient royalty data workflows for the global Finance teams.
  • Provide management, the Financial Controller, and the Head of Royalties with additional analysis as required.
About You
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in processing royalties.
  • Fluent in French (essential).
  • Proven experience managing teams with multiple direct reports.
  • Strong background in designing and implementing royalty processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience in the record label industry is desirable.
