One of our FinTech clients is looking for Senior Associate (Finance Transformation) to join on a permanent basis and support the creation of a new general ledger and finance function.

This fast growing business has grown rapidly over the last few years and as they scale up they are looking to build their finance function to support their continuous growth journey going forwards. They are looking to build and implement the core infrastructure (systems and processes) for a new finance function, specifically around the general ledger function.

Role: Senior Associate, Finance Transformation - General Ledger

Salary: £60k-£86k + Bonus & benefits - depending on experience

Location: London (hybrid role with 3 days a week in a central London office)

This role will sit within the general ledger team and will be to support the Finance Manager in delivering the transformation programmes needed to deliver these new systems and processes to build the new general ledger function within the wider finance function.

You will act as the link between the business, the finance function and the product/engineering teams to gather business requirements, support the documentation and support the delivery of the wider general ledger focussed transformation initiatives. You will work with the finance function to understand the current 'As-Is' state and the desired future 'To-Be' state, then work with the product/engineering teams to build the desired 'To-Be' state solutions and then follow through to implementation overseeing the delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be accountancy qualified
  • Experience within general ledger and general accounting/finance experience
  • Hands-on experience supporting/delivering finance transformation projects around the general ledger (e.g. finance systems, applications and finance process transformation projects)
  • Strong stakeholder management needed to be the link between the business, finance and engineering/product teams. Able to translate business requirements to the technical teams and translate technical jargon into clear and concise updates to the business.
  • Background in a FinTech/Payments/Finance Services client beneficial

This is a permanent opportunity, with travel to their London office 3 times a week.
