An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join a dynamic, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in London, near the Thames.

Reporting directly to the Partners you will manage various complex tax compliance and advisory matters for a large portfolio of clients and be responsible for maintaining client relationships.

Key Duties include:-

  • Reviewing corporate tax and LLP partnership tax returns covering a wide range of industries, and ensuring that work is completed on a timely basis
  • Reviewing a portfolio of large Non-Resident Corporate Landlords, and reviewing capital allowance claims
  • Preparing more complicated tax returns and considering the impact of changes in tax legislation: e.g. Corporate Interest Restriction rules
  • R&D Tax credit claim management
  • Undertaking ad hoc tax due diligence projects
  • Liaising with HMRC in relation to tax enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, including attending client meetings
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and drafting proposals for client consideration
  • Reviewing files, Billing, budget and WIP management; setting fees and budgets and ensuring budgets are met.
  • Portfolio management, updating client workflows
  • Complying with all departmental procedures to ensure the smooth running of the team and department
  • Staff mentoring and development
  • Being involved with the firm's marketing and new business opportunities

You will ideally hold a professional qualification such CTA and have a strong corporate tax background, preferably within practice of at least 5 years. You will also have experience of managing your own portfolio of corporate tax clients, with an understanding of property tax and international tax matters.

A good working knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and the CCH would also be an advantage.
