They are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join their tax practice. The role involves managing complex corporate tax affairs for a diverse client portfolio while leading a team of tax professionals and contributing to the firm's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance:

    • Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
    • Manage deadlines for filing tax returns and extensions, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Tax Planning & Strategy:

    • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
    • Provide advisory services on matters such as mergers and acquisitions, group structures, and international tax considerations.
  • Client Management:

    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions.
    • Act as the primary contact for clients on complex tax matters, providing insights and advice.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
    • Lead projects, ensuring that deliverables meet the firm's quality standards and are completed on time.
  • Research & Analysis:

    • Stay informed about changes in UK tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
    • Conduct detailed tax research to support client engagements and proposals.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other departments (e.g., audit, advisory) to provide comprehensive service offerings to clients.
    • Collaborate with external advisors and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Required Qualifications
    • CTA qualification (essential)
    • ACA/ACCA qualification (preferred)
    • Minimum 5-7 years corporate tax experience
    • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation
    • Experience in a top 100 accountancy firm or equivalent
