About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner in our busy, professional finance department to cover a 9-month maternity leave.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant and have experience in management accounts and business partnering. They’ll manage two direct reports and develop their team’s exposure to all levels of management, both within the finance team and across our pathology labs.

The role reports to the Lead Finance Business Partner and acts and an intermediary between the central Finance Team and Synnovis Analytics’ & Services’ operations. The role requires proactive collaboration with the business and would suit someone looking for a semi-autonomous position with plenty of scope to add value.

You will be responsible for working closely with senior operations staff, producing, interpreting, and communicating the financial results; you’ll partner with them to take the actions necessary to deliver the budget on target, as well as driving further improvements in the financial performance of the business.

Each month you’ll gather financial and operational data from various sources and produce the month-end reporting packs which are key to interpreting performance and partner with the site leads to take management actions based on that information. You will monitor financial information and produce variance analysis, budgeting, and re-forecasting, as well as provide analysis to support business cases and new test pricing which drive the business forward.

Key responsibilities

  • Working within the Finance Business Partnering team you’ll partner across our business, working closely with Operations to drive performance.
  • The role is based at our Head Office, but you’ll need to engage with our Operations teams and stakeholders across all our hospital sites.
  • Responsible for financial management information reporting across several Core contracts and divisions, this is a fantastic opportunity to take your next step in a commercially focussed finance role and add value to our growing business.
