Partner Financial are working with an international retail business embarking on a substantial period of growth. The business is looking to appoint an Interim Senior Finance Manager who will play a crucial role in the success of business performance in the coming months as they continue to invest and strengthen their international presence.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Financial Control, and they will be responsible for producing financial information and ensuring that best practice is used across the business. Supporting the growth of the company, this position will foster continuous improvement, automation and will ensure that relevant controls are in place across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with all financial control initiatives and ensuring there is a roadmap in place which plans effectively for future funding rounds and value creation.
  • Working with the auditors and finance team to lead an efficient and timely year end audit process.
  • Ensuring all compliance and regulatory commitments are being adhered to.
  • Overseeing and supporting a small team managing the month and quarter close processes, ensuring this is completed in a timely manner with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Monitoring the company's cash flow by completing reconciliations and investigating any variances or discrepancies to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Supporting IT & Finance teams with the implementation of new systems, ensuring alignment and clear communication across departments.
  • Providing suggestions for improvements to finance practice procedures for the company and implement as required, ensuring all processes are documented.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a controllership position with demonstrated leadership skills, ideally in fast-paced matrix organisations.
  • Property or multi-site accounting experience advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, comfortable challenging existing protocols, and comfortable influencing at all levels of the business
  • Hands-on attitude and ability to reach objectives.
