They are looking for a proactive Finance Manager to manage and oversee the financial operations of the business. You will lead a small finance team and work closely with the management team to ensure the financial health and stability of the company. Your responsibilities will include budgeting, cash flow forecasting, costing of projects, and managing work in progress (WIP). An understanding of transfer pricing is beneficial for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Develop and manage the company’s budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Prepare accurate and timely cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.

Analyse financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights to the management team.

Project Costing & Work in Progress (WIP):

Working closely with the delivery team, accurately cost projects, ensuring all financial aspects are considered, and margins are optimized.

Monitor and manage work in progress, ensuring that all projects are accounted for and invoiced promptly.

Implement and maintain robust financial controls over project costing and WIP.

Transfer Pricing:

Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, preparing documentation and managing intercompany transactions.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the management team, providing clear explanations of financial performance and variances.

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Liaise with external Auditors to finalise the statutory accounts and assist with the year end audit.

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Ensure the finance team meets deadlines and delivers high-quality financial information.

Collaboration with Management:

Work closely with the management team to develop and execute strategic initiatives.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business growth.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education: Professional accountancy qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Xero financial software, Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and hands-on involvement.
