This leading, Private Equity backed, UK based renewable energy business is scaling at a fantastic pace, designing and building exciting renewable energy projects across Europe.

To support this exhilarating period of growth and investment, the new role of Senior Finance Manager has been created.

Working on a variety of business-critical projects and investments, this newly created role is largely project based and not involved in the regular cyclical financial reporting.

Reporting to the Group Director of Financial Control and partnering across the business, the role includes:

  • Analyse and apply IFRS accounting standards and regulatory guidelines for new, complex, and material transactions and agreements, including during the deal structuring phase.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos for significant transactions.
  • Communicate the key implications of acquisitions and investments to Finance leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external valuation experts to ensure accurate application of purchase accounting during acquisitions and disposals.
  • Provide insights and update accounting policies based on evolving industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated on new and proposed accounting pronouncements, providing interpretation and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Lead training sessions on relevant accounting topics for internal personnel and external service providers.

Required candidate profile:

  • ACA qualified
  • In-depth technical accounting knowledge including IFRS
  • Experience of providing technical accounting advice around acquisitions and disposals
  • First class presentation and report writing skills
  • Ideally, but not essential, experience of the Energy sector
