  • Altum Consulting is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for a private equity-backed global media and entertainment company in the UK & Ireland. The role involves managing a team of 2 Management Accountants to ensure accurate internal reporting and financial controls. Candidates should have 2-4 years of post-qualified experience, preferably in property accounting and IFRS 16 within a fast-paced, multi-site business. The position requires a qualified ACA or ACCA and a proven track record in delivering high-quality management reporting. The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Altum Consulting are pleased to be partnered with a private equity backed global media & entertainment company to source a Senior Finance Manager for the UK & Ireland team. The role will manage a team of 2 Management Accountants to deliver accurate and timely internal reports and controls, including balance sheet management, in line with Business and Group standards and timetables.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure management accountants work allocation is appropriate for the business area requirements and overall workload with clear responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring a strong financial control environment is maintained and that all income and expenditure (including capital expenditure) is correctly accounted for in line with accounting policies.
  • Ensure IFRS16 reporting is accurate and reconciles to the Horizon database, taking responsibility for Audit technical memos that need sharing with PWC where required.
  • Provide insightful and challenging variance analysis commentary for preparation of the territory pack delivery by the Commercial Finance Team, reviewed with the HOFC in advance and presented at month end review meetings.
  • Create and deliver a year end month end plan according to Group and Audit requirements, with clear accountabilities and timelines.
  • Manage the year end delivery of external auditors' requirements (both UK and Ireland), ensuring that all auditor requests are effectively managed, delivered to timescales and are of a high quality, coordinating with the audit team and other areas of finance as necessary and responding to queries in a timely fashion.

Key skills:

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA, technically strong with good experience of property accounting and IFRS 16 mutli site, retail, or leisure
  • Immediately available or on a short notice period (1 month)
  • Equivalent of c2-4 years post qualified experience
  • Worked within a fast paced, multi-site business
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality management reporting within strong controls framework.
  • Able to demonstrate solid examples of working at pace to ambitious deadlines.
