VisionFR is acting on behalf of a Business Consultancy that helps Leadership teams work to their full potential find their first full time Senior Finance Manager. This is an exciting time to join this dynamic growing business and a great opportunity to work closely with the COO and SLT in driving financial performance in the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibility of the Senior Finance Manager

Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both European and US operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Consolidate financial reports for the European and US entities.
  • Work cross functionally to reconcile all month service delivery (Consultant Billings).
  • Manage all Balance Sheet Account reconciliations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Partner with COO on the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasts.
  • Analyse financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying areas of improvement & risk

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including working capital management for European and US operations.
  • Responsible for All client invoicing.
  • Responsible for A/R management (collections monitoring).
  • Responsible for daily bank reconciliation and transaction recording.
  • Responsible for creating all Vendor payments in both US and UK/Europe.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Work with COO to Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and financial legislation in the UK, Europe, and the US.
  • Partner with COO on coordinating with external auditors for the year-end audit process and ensure timely submission of statutory accounts.

Internal Controls and Processes/Leadership

  • Partner with COO to maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency in finance operations across the regions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and ensure financial alignment.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Along with COO, act as a key point of contact for financial matters with senior management, external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide financial insights and support to the executive team to inform strategic decisions.

Expected Qualifications and Experience of the Senior Finance Manager

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • 4+ years experience in a multinational company
  • Experience working in finance operations in both Europe and US
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
  • Ideally experience working in a small/startup environment with loosely defined process and structure. Willingness to role up their sleeves as well as recommending process and system improvements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, Ideally Xero
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
