Senior Tax Manager vacancy to play a key role in managing EMEA tax provisions, compliance, VAT returns, and audits for a globally recognised leader in fintech. If you have strong expertise in corporate tax, VAT, and international tax issues, this is your chance to work in an inclusive, innovative, and high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of quarterly and annual calculations of current and deferred tax provisions for EMEA under US GAAP for management reporting and for inclusion in the published consolidated Financial Statements
  • Reconciliation of statutory to management reported tax for GAAP adjustments
  • Ensuring tax provisions and prior year adjustments are prepared timely and booked accurately
  • Preparation/review of statutory tax notes across EMEA
  • Assisting with the preparation of the projected ETR
  • Ensuring SOX processes are followed
  • Managing/reviewing of returns for the EMEA region. Where outsourcing is in place, working closely with the accounting team to ensure all relevant information is provided timely
  • Ensuring that compliance is prepared, reviewed, and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that all corporate tax payments on account are made on time
  • Review of VAT returns and EC Sales list across EMEA
  • Ensuring all VAT filings (including payments) are completed timely
  • Dealing with day-to-day VAT and withholding tax queries from the business
  • Preparation of PAYE Settlement Agreements for companies in the UK group

Skills and Competencies

  • Significant tax experience; specifically related to corporate tax and VAT (preferably in a large multi-national company or in a major accounting firm)
  • Both US GAAP and IFRS tax accounting experience preferred
  • Exposure to transfer pricing issues preferred
  • Very good technical knowledge of UK corporation tax and a good understanding of international tax issues (EMEA)
  • European tax compliance experience
  • Knowledge of a major financial system, experience with SAP preferable
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, attention to detail and proactive approach
  • Other European language is a bonus
