Job Purpose

  • Lead a significant corporate tax portfolio, overseeing deliverables and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Manage compliance work for LLPs and Groups.
  • Work closely with Tax Partners to support their client portfolios.
  • Review tax computations, providing valued input.
  • Review and submit tax accounting schedules.
  • Deliver tax advisory to a variety of clients, providing sound technical knowledge.
  • Oversee the deliverables of junior tax staff, providing constructive mentorship and nurturing talent through knowledge sharing.
  • Champion professional development for junior staff, inspiring the team around you.
  • Work closely with Partners to support the firm’s strategic direction, networking and scoping for new business opportunities.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, being their go-to senior advisor.
  • Set an example as a natural leader.

The Successful Applicant

  • CTA qualified with a minimum of five years' post qualification experience.
  • Previous experience overseeing a team, delegating working and mentoring staff.
  • International tax knowledge is desirable but not essential.
  • Sound working knowledge of technical tax matters.
  • An up-to-date understanding of UK accounting standards.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge, and experience with Alphatax is desirable.
  • Natural leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to lead a team with effective project management.
