Description
- Prepare and issue accurate service charge budgets.
- Manage the year-end service charge reconciliation process.
- Interpret lease agreements to ensure correct service charge application.
- Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering queries from residents regarding service charges.
- Support the wider Accounting & Finance team as necessary.
Profile
A successful Service Charge Officer should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with finance systems.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- An understanding of service charge legislation and leasehold management.
