An overseas banking institution wish to recruit within structured finance to be primarily focused on renewable and infrastructure sector transactions within the EMEA region. You will monitor the Bank’s Structured Finance business and identify ancillary opportunities so as to facilitate the delivery of strategy and business objectives
Key responsibilities
- Write concise business review reports and identify key credit risks. Lead and complete the internal credit process in line with the Bank’s policies and requirements
- Analyse strengths and weaknesses of projects/structure in such transactions by taking into account the technology and commercial contracts proposed, regulatory and legal backdrop, and counterparties involved
- Construct and review complex Structured Finance models and key ratios and concepts used in them
- Undertake regular market and industry research with a view to manage the Bank’s risk appetite and credit policies
- Liaise and work with clients, other departments, overseas branches of the Bank and external professional counterparties to prepare, negotiate and execute appropriate finance documentation ensuring that the Bank’s position is protected at all times
- Maintain and manage ongoing relationship in relation to relevant clients with a view to maximise the overall return for the Bank
- Identify opportunities to cross sell other departments’ products to existing clients within the EMEA region with particular focus on the development of deposit and Interest Rate Swap (IRS) and Forex (FX) businesses
Requirements
- Solid experience within the Financial Services industry focusing on Structured Finance
- Experience and knowledge of projects in the renewable sector in the UK and ideally in the EMEA region
- Knowledge of Corporate Banking products
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
