We are recruiting on behalf of a leading and innovative organisation based in Canary Wharf, London. The organisation manages a large property portfolio valued at approximately £3 billion. Within this organisation, the Corporate Insight & Value team is a dynamic group of 13+ finance professionals who specialise in providing comprehensive financial services, including tax compliance, planning, reporting, and internal audit management. The team is known for its collaborative spirit, commitment to best practices, and proactive approach to identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Tax and Policy Manager to lead tax compliance and internal audit activities, as well as govern the policy framework. The successful candidate will take charge of all elements of tax compliance, including corporation tax returns and VAT returns. Additionally, they will oversee the Internal Audit programme and manage the policy framework governance.

Person Required

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic individual with:

  • Extensive experience in tax accounting and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls
  • Internal audit process experience is desirable but not essential - this could be an opportunity to take this on as development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to lead and develop a team, driving continuous improvement.
  • A recognised finance or Tax professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
