Are you a motivated tax accountant currently working in a position of senior management who would be excited to join a vibrant team in a dynamic working environment of a London-based top 100 accounting firm. This role is for a Tax Director in London and our client is seeking an experienced corporate tax accountant who can collaborate with the existing tax team and partner group, primarily focusing on expanding advisory projects.

You’ll be tasked with managing your own client portfolio while ensuring efficient oversight of corporate tax advisory work. You’ll need to have great communication and time management skills and able to juggle complex workflows to maintain deadline commitments across a busy portfolio.

JobPurpose
  • Oversight of the provision of corporate tax compliance and advisory work
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate tax issues
  • Ensure client assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with the wider tax team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring awareness of their requirements
  • Recognise and respond to clients’ business needs, providing quality tax advice on all aspects of assignments
  • HMRC liaison and problem solving.
  • Supporting the Partners on the commercial development of the firm.
  • Managing a team of accountants, overseeing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Empower the tax team through appropriate delegation and effective people management
  • Consistently seek internal improvement, presenting opportunities to senior leadership
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firms ongoing strategic direction, communicating and adapting to change
  • Manage margins effectively to drive profitability
  • Successful engagement of new clients
  • Identify changes in Tax legislation and how they affect clients and promote new advisory projects
  • Support the leadership team with the mentoring and development of junior staff

What are we looking for?
  • CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA or CA qualified, QBE would also be considered
  • Demonstrable corporate tax advisory and compliance experience within a practice environment (10+ years)
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to lead a team and project manage, including decision-making, time management and prioritisation .
