Your new companyA high-growth renewable energy business based in London is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic qualified mixed Tax Manager to join the company's growing finance function. Through the use of multiple technologies, the company develops renewable energy projects and solutions for its customers across the UK, with the long term goal of creating solutions to take large energy-intensive users off-grid. The company is looking for it's first dedicated tax professional to join the team and continue developing and implementing the groups tax strategy. Your new roleIn your new role as a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for tax compliance, business advisory and tax planning on behalf of the group. The role also involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice on the companies tax strategy.

  • Prepare and file all direct and in-direct tax returns, whilst liaising closely with external advisors and the wider finance team.
  • Prepare, implement and review the group tax strategy
  • Provide tax planning and review current tax strategies whilst implementing tax optimisation opportunities
  • Provide tax support on M&A transactions
  • Responsible for all tax payments, and managing tax compliance processes.
  • Ensure you are kept up to date on changes to tax legislation and emerging tax laws
  • Report to the Financial Controller & Finance Director

What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this position you will be a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor with in-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, regulations and accounting principles. You will have experience working across VAT and corporation tax assignments and ideally, you will have some exposure to M&A tax and transfer pricing. You will be comfortable in working in a fast paced, challenging and varied environment from either practice or industry, and have an interest in the renewable energy sector.
