I am currently recruiting for a key role within a well-known London-based accountancy firm's technical department, supporting their high-quality audit practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified individual with strong technical knowledge and an interest in training and developing others.

What you will be doing as a Technical Manager:

  • Provide expert technical advice on the application of international and UK accounting standards (UK GAAP and FRS 102).
  • Address ad-hoc technical queries and prepare technical guidance material.
  • Offer advice on the application of auditing standards and assist in improving audit methodology.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of training courses on auditing and financial reporting, including regular technical updates and training on 'hot topics'.
  • Assist with cold file reviews of audit files.
  • Support the completion of audit and technical-related Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
  • Research and stay up-to-date on emerging technical issues in accounting and auditing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Experience in a technical role or within audit with a keen interest in technical and training matters.
  • Experience working with AIM listed companies or Public Interest Entities (PIEs) is an advantage.
  • Some experience in data analytics or audit software is beneficial but not essential.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
