Due to my client's continuous growth and expansion, they are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced US/UK Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join the team and deliver exceptional individual tax advisory and compliance services to US-connected individuals.

About the Role:

As a US/UK Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Manage your own portfolio, including financial oversight, WIP management, billing targets, and cash collection.
  • Actively participate in developing and pursuing new client opportunities.
  • Ensure all client engagements are completed within budget and productivity targets.
  • Prepare and submit draft client bills for Director approval.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff, assisting in their professional growth and leading their annual appraisals.
  • Provide guidance on software packages, tax laws, and statutory requirements to junior team members.
What I am looking for:

The ideal candidate will have EA or ATT/CTA qualifications (or equivalent) and relevant experience in a similar role. You should have a keen eye for detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 tax seasons' experience in US and UK personal tax compliance.
  • A strong understanding of US and UK tax rules and the interaction between the two regimes.
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem and UK tax preparation software.
  • Proven success in managing and coaching junior staff.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to resolve client issues.
  • Knowledge of trusts is advantageous, but not essential.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to tasks.
