Our client is a global US tax practice who are seeking an experienced and highly skilled US/UK Tax AM or Manager to join their team. This dual handler role is pivotal in managing and overseeing the tax compliance and planning for both US and UK operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the tax regulations in both jurisdictions and the ability to navigate complex tax issues with precision and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of US and UK tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations in both jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on tax-related matters.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, EA, ATT) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in US and UK tax compliance and planning.
  • Strong knowledge of US and UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
