Tax Manager (US/UK Private Client)

Location: London, UK

We are working with a well established yet growing practice within the US tax space. They are going through some exciting growth and are in the market for an experienced US UK private client tax dual handler to join the business as a Manager.

You will be supporting on complex tax issues for high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as providing tailored tax advice. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with both US and UK tax laws while optimising tax strategies for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the preparation and review of US and UK tax returns for private clients.
  • Ensure compliance with US and UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for high-net-worth clients.
  • Conduct tax research and provide guidance on US and UK tax-related issues.
  • Manage relationships with clients, external auditors, and tax advisors.
  • Monitor changes in US and UK tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the global tax team to ensure cohesive tax strategies.
  • Lead and mentor junior tax professionals within the practice.

Qualifications:

  • You will be EA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in US and UK tax, preferably within an accountancy practice or a multinational corporation.
  • Strong knowledge of US and UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families is important.
