On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Correspondent Banking Advisor for a 6 month contract based in either London, Edinburgh or Manchester. This role is a hybrid working model with expectations of attending the office 1-2 days per week.

This specialist role sits within the Financial Crime team(FC) and will see you partnering with the business, products, and the Risk function to identify, assess and manage the bank's risks in relation to Specialist Sectors. The Specialist Sectors Advisory Team manages the Financial Crime risks associated with some of our High-Risk client segments including Correspondent Banking, Money Service Businesses and Online/Remote Gambling.
What you'll do:
- Making a vital contribution to driving a culture of intelligent risk management, partnering with the business to deliver safe and sustainable solutions for our customers.
- Providing advice and support to ensure the development and delivery of effective financial crime controls for our correspondent banking business.
- Providing guidance and training on the interpretation of FC policy, standards and risk appetite decisions across all FC typologies Partnering with other specialist advisory colleagues and business teams to ensure consistent implementation of a robust FC control framework.
- Developing relationships across the industry and engaging on regulatory matters.
- Collaborating with the second line of defence on the interpretation of policy, standards, and risk appetite.
- Investigating complex queries through to resolution.
- Analysing the Operations Team reviews ensuring they are correct ready for Senior Manager sign-offs, or requesting more information.
The skills you'll need:
- Correspondent Banking experience.
- Financial Crime and AML experience & knowledge.
- Risk Management.
- Stakeholder Management experience.
