Our client is currently recruiting for a Financial Consultant – SAP FC. Based in London, the role is on a long-term contract and offers hybrid working.
ROLE
Prepares financial reporting consolidations for internal and external group reporting for the acquired Wintershall Dea portfolio in SAP FC
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
- Providing management of sub-consolidation financial reporting
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Provide accounting functional excellence, advisory and governance across the various company locations
- Provide guidance and support to acquired BU Finance Managers on financial reporting
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements within acquired SAP FC sub-consolidation module, and other integrated reported systems
- Maintain relationships with SAP support team to ensure integrity of reporting systems for master/transactional data and configuration
- Support point for SAP FC tool BU business users
- Ensures compliance with IFRS, accounting policies and procedures, technical accounting and external regulatory and legal requirements
- Supports BU submissions for group reporting
- Support the external statutory audit process and key responsibility in providing reporting information to various stakeholders
- Design, develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the reliability of financial statement and compliance with relevant UK plc requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree
- ACA professional accounting qualification
- Extensive experience in financial reporting within a multinational company and/or Big 4 firm, with a strong preference for experience in the oil and gas sector
- Strong technical accounting skills, with In-depth knowledge of IFRS and internal control requirements
- Proven track record of managing relationships with auditors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
