Financial Wellbeing Adviser

Do you want to empower people to build a brighter financial future? Are you passionate about social impact and helping clients in need?

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Wellbeing Adviser to join our team in London. In this frontline role, you'll play a vital role in supporting adult male ex-offenders to improve their financial wellbeing and reduce their risk of re-offending.

About the Role

As a Financial Wellbeing Adviser, you'll be a key part of our Justice team, working closely with clients to address their financial needs, build budgeting skills, and manage debt.

You'll:

  • Conduct assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized action plans.
  • Help clients access benefits, manage finances, and obtain essential documents.
  • Provide support and guidance on financial literacy topics like budgeting and debt management.
  • Advocate for clients with creditors and offer support in navigating complex debt issues.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and training to empower clients with financial knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of partners, including probation staff, housing providers, and other support services.

What we're looking for

  • A confident and professional approach to supporting clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • The ability to motivate and empower clients to change through individual and group work.
  • Strong case management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience working with the criminal justice system or disadvantaged populations (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to different audiences.
  • A commitment to equality and diversity.
  • A willingness to travel and work flexibly across various locations in London.
