We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice in the City of London who are looking to recruit an IFA Administrator with 2 years+ experience.

The company's purpose is to provide advice to clients on all aspects of personal financial planning and investment management. They have considerable experience and understanding of investment strategy, fund selection, pensions, tax and estate planning, as well as a desire to provide world class service to private clients, charities and trustees.The firm sets itself apart from its competitors by having the following strategic differences:• Bringing together strategic financial planning with global investment advice• Net worth performance reporting• Using fixed fees and hourly rates to eliminate conflicts of interest

Job Purpose

• To provide first class administration to the client services team• To support the firm in delivering high quality, independent advice to clients

Job responsibilities

  • Gathering data and preparing client valuations each month
  • Liaising with product providers to obtain plan information, illustrations, and other details, as required for new clients and existing
  • Scheduling annual and half-yearly client reviews and supporting team to gather information for the reports
  • Liaising with implementation team, and product providers, to monitor and progress client transfers and post transaction reporting
  • Ensuring client management system is kept up to date by inputting client data into back-office system (currently Xplan)
  • Ensuring client files are up to date, complete and tidy (and include current AML documentation)
  • Assisting with the preparation of client’s tax packs (obtaining and checking Consolidated Tax Certificates from providers, checking Capital Gains Tax on disposals, gathering pension tax information for income received, and checking accumulation income)
  • Completing the Client Take on process (relevant information about the Client is input onto Xplan, ID3 Global checks are completed, and Letters of Authority are produced and dispatched to relevant companies)
  • Ensuring reports are bound and dispatched to clients in a timely manner
  • Managing the team diary for client and prospect meetings and supporting meeting preparation as required
  • Acquiring knowledge of business procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance by adhering to company procedures
  • Gaining an understanding of and adhering to the ethos, culture, and purpose of the company
  • Undertake appropriate professional development and training
